Early life

Steven Paul Jobs was born on February 24, 1955in San Francisco. His biological parents are Abdulfattah Jandali and Joanne Schieble. His adoptive parents are Paul and Clara Jobs. His early childhood and schooling was in Mountain View, California. He did his high school in Los Altos, California. During mid 1970, his interest shifted to music and poetry from engineering and science. His classmates defined him as kinda brainy and kinda hippie. He joined college in Portland, Oregano. And he discontinued his college after the first semester without informing his parents. He returned to his parents a year later and started looking for jobs.  Soon, he was hired as a technician by Atari Inc. For his spiritual enlightenment he visited India in 1974. He was influenced by Hinduism and Buddhism. He and his girlfriend Brennan started practicing Zen Buddhism.

Career Growth

Wozniak and Steve completed the Apple I computer’s basic design by the mid of 1976. The same year Apple Computer Company was founded. A year down in total 200 Apple I computers were produced. And soon Apple’s success started attracting good funding from many established companies. In May 1978, he had his first child named Lisa Brennan but he refused to father her. And his next computer was named Apple Lisa. By 1981 he was very rich and had started buying many properties and investments.

Family life

Steve married Laurene in a Buddhist ceremony on March 18, 1991. They had three children together, Reed, Erin and Eve. The family lived in Palo Alto. His first child, Lisa stayed with him as a teenager. After the death of his adoptive mother, he searched for his biological parents and found them. He grew close to his mother and sister but never intended to meet the father. Apple I, Apple II, Apple Lisa, Macintosh, NeXT computers, iMac, iTunes, iPod, iPhone, iPad were few of his great contributions to the world.

Cancer and death

In 2003, he was diagnosed with cancer. And he went for alternative medicine which deteriorated his health.  In 2006, the cancer relapsed. In August 2011, he retired from Apple. On October 5th 2011, he passed away and the funeral was a private family affair. At age of 23, in 1978 Steve Jobs was worth over $1 million. By the time he was 25, his net worth grew to over $250 million. He was one of the youngest people ever to make the Forbes list of the nation's richest people. He was one of very few to have done it themselves, without inherited wealth. From zero he was in the Forbes list in just a few years.
